Bjelke-Petersen Physical Culture aims to improve general health in Australians by promoting physical fitness and mental wellbeing.

Our motto is mens sana in corpore sano – “a healthy mind in a healthy body”.

The physical benefits of regular exercise are well-known. There are also psychological benefits: enhanced self-esteem and social skills that flow from gaining confidence at an activity and becoming involved in team sport. Physical culture also promotes the development of co-ordination and balance, assisting children with the mental tasks required for academic achievement.

Bjelke-Petersen aims to serve the community, supporting the many non-profit clubs who belong to our association. We keep costs to our members and their teachers low so that physical culture is within the financial reach of every Australian family.

We provide a fun, safe, non-elitist, inexpensive, team-based sport, encouraging people from all communities to participate.
